Hello from the department office,
Vicki and I are doing well and hope you are as well. Membership is starting to roll in as the first renewal notices were mailed Sept 15. Please make sure that you are using the most updated formes that were included in your membership packet and are available online at www.dptmoala.org/forms. Changes were made to both the remittance advice form and the poppy form. Please make sure that all new applications are signed by the department commander or the department adjutant.
Membership reports have started going out. Please allow two weeks if your numbers are off before contacting the office. We cannot control the mail and it may take longer than expected to get to you. One way to get membership information faster is to pay online. Simply go to www.dptmoala.org and click on make a payment. You may then fill out the form and submit it electronically. You then need to email your documentation to dptmoala@outlook.com, we will receive the payment immediately. This if available for units to pay their membership, if an individual would like to pay online you must go to National’s website alaforveterans.org.
Vicki has started the process of scanning all the paperwork that comes into the office. Scanning allows us to archive files and access them quicker. It saves time and money but most importantly it saves space.
